Arborio Rice
Producer: Principato di Lucedio, Trino, Piemonte, Italy

The monks of Lucedio Abbey were the first to introduce rice into Italy, around 1400 A.D. Since then, the estate has seen many interesting owners including Napoleon Bonaparte and his brother-in-law the Prince Borghese. Now, the estate is run by the Countess Rosetta Clara and her son Paolo. Their mission is to carry on the great traditions of the estate and produce the very best Italian rice, using only natural fertilisers and no pesticides.
